Repentance & Purity of Heart

Prayer Focus: Ask God to reveal sin and cleanse your heart.
Example Prayer:
Lord, shine Your light into my life. Expose the hidden sins I overlook, and give me true repentance. Remove sinful habits and make me holy as You are holy.
Scripture:
Psalm 139:23–24 (ESV) – “Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!”

Spiritual Maturity & Growth

Prayer Focus: Ask God to mature your faith and deepen your walk with Him.
Example Prayer:
Father, don’t let me stay spiritually immature. Stretch me, grow me, and increase my faith so that I may stand firm in every circumstance.
Scripture:
Ephesians 4:14–15 (ESV) – “…so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ.”

Boldness in Witnessing

Prayer Focus: Ask God for courage and opportunities to share the gospel.
Example Prayer:
Lord, give me courage to share my faith without fear. Open doors to speak of my Savior Jesus Christ and fill me with the Spirit to witness with boldness and love. Grant me the words to say as I witness to others, sharing the Gospel of grace.

Acts 4:29 (ESV) – “And now, Lord, look upon their threats and grant to your servants to continue to speak your word with all boldness.”

Obedience & Surrender

Prayer Focus: Commit to obeying God in every area of life.
Example Prayer:
Father, give me a heart that delights in obedience. Teach me to surrender my will and follow You fully, even when it’s costly.

John 14:15 (ESV) – “If you love me, you will keep my commandments.”

Love for God’s Word

Prayer Focus: Ask for hunger and joy in Scripture.
Example Prayer:
Lord, make me love Your Word more than food, success, or comfort. Let Your truth shape my mind, direct my steps, and transform my heart.

Psalm 119:97 (ESV) – “Oh how I love your law! It is my meditation all the day.”
Matthew 4:4 (ESV) – “But he answered, ‘It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”

Prayer & Dependence on God

Prayer Focus: Cultivate a stronger prayer life and deeper dependence.
Example Prayer:
Father, teach me to pray without ceasing. Remind me that apart from You I can do nothing. Let my life be marked by constant communion with You.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (ESV) – “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

Becoming More Like Christ

Prayer Focus: Desire to reflect Christ’s character in daily life.
Example Prayer:
Lord, conform me to the image of Your Son. Help me live with humility, compassion, and faithfulness so others see Christ in me.

Romans 8:29 (ESV) – “For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.”
